Unbelievably, one month has already passed since Jaia arrived. It’s been a month of amazing discoveries. So far I’ve discovered that: something that tiny really can turn me to mush. I can function quite well on half the sleep I’m used to getting. I thought I was a light sleeper before…and it only got worse....

Hotsling! An adorable and functional gift from Aunt Kris and Uncle Kurt. This little gadget, designed to be incredibly simple, stumped me until this morning… …now I just have to figure out how to wriggle us out of it.

Jaia’s BFF is on her way! Claudia is in labour! I can’t wait! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She’s here! Eva Francis arrived at 4:35 am on January 25th. She was a whopping 7 lbs, 14 oz and 21 inches long. Parents and baby are doing well. Excellent…I can’t wait to meet her. Photos to come.
