Two days in a row last week, Jaia and I headed to Petrie Island. I remember it as a swamp, but some major work over the last few years have turned it into quite the pretty little beach. There is still some swamp there, but the beach part is awesome. Lots of fresh, clean looking...

A couple of weeks ago, we met up with Michelle and Baby Heaven (as Jaia calls him) and went for a long walk around this gorgeous pond in the west-end. I had never been there before, but will definitely be back. Often. A feast for the eyes and a perfect backdrop for the oodles of...

While my parents were shoveling themselves out of 30 inches of snow this weekend, we were enjoying nothing but sunshine. I’m not sure when or how it happened, but our weekend was jam-packed with goodness. A long overdue birthday dinner for Jaia, Auntie Vinnie and I was held at my brother’s house on Friday night....

It’s mango week. Frank the Baby is apparently as big as a large mango, weighing in at just over a pound. I figured that since I hadn’t updated in awhile, you might like to know which fruit our new little bundle was most resembling at this point in the pregnancy. We are past the halfway...

I can’t blame this on being lazy about uploading and posting my Paris photos, I just took so many that the uploading, minor edits and posting took multiple days. Camping with kids is MUCH different than camping with people over the age of 20. And as this weekend approached, I have to admit that I was not looking forward to trying to cram all of our stuff, plus Jaia’s stuff, plus the dog and his stuff in to the car for two nights in...

Late fall brought about two pregnancy announcements from two of my favourite people, Lisa and Carole. Their due dates were exactly a month apart, but thanks to the unpredictability of pregnancy and childbirth, we are about to have 2 babes in one week. Carole gave birth to an absolutely beautiful little girl. Sydney made a...

Shannen and I were married on a rainy Sunday exactly 1096 days ago. It feels both longer and shorter than that, for different reasons. Longer because it feels right, shorter because we’ve crammed a lot of stuff into those 3 years! We’ll be celebrating this weekend by celebrating the marriage of some close friends. Very...

I’ve been waiting for this announcement FOREVER. Kontributor Kris and her fella are getting married. The proposal was extremely romantic (on a deserted beach, in Mexico) and well worth the wait…I suppose. Their publicists have not yet released any information about the upcoming nuptuals, but I CANNOT wait for the wedding planning to begin. Congrats,...
